Abstract

Pencemaran air adalah suatu proses masuknya atau dimasukannya bahan pencemar kedalam perairan. Banyaknya aktivitas manusia yang berpotensi mencemari lingkungan menjadi masalah utama dalam proses pengendalian dan penanggulangan tingkat pencemaran air. Saat ini pemerintah Kota masih belum menemukan solusi yang terbaik dalam menentukan cara dan strategi untuk mengurangi tingkat pencemaran air di Kota Palopo. banyaknya aktifitas, pertanian, perikanan dan aktivitas rumah tangga menjadi masalah utama yang dapat menyebabkan tingkat pencemaran air di Kota Palopo menjadi meningkat. Untuk itu perlu dilakukan Inventarisasi tumbuhan air yang tahan terhadap kondisi lingkungan yang tercemar dan jenis tanaman apa saja yang dapat digunakan untuk mengurangi resiko pencemaran terhadap lingkungan perairan di Kecamatan Wara Selatan Kota Palopo.
