Pertumbuhan Tanaman Pakcoy (Brassica rapa L) pada Cekaman Kekeringan secara In Vitro

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pertumbuhan tanaman pakcoy pada cekaman kekeringan yang dilakukan secara in vitro. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan mendapatkan planlet tanaman pakcoy yang mampu beradaptasi pada kondisi kekeringan secara in vitro dan memperoleh konsentrasi PEG yang dapat dijadikan sebagai agen seleksi kekeringan pada tanaman pakcoy. Penelitian menggunakan 4 perlakuan dan 1 kontrol yang terdiri dari 3 ulangan. Taraf perlakuan yang digunakan yaitu P0 (Kontrol), P1(PEG 1 gr), P2(PEG 2 gr), P3(PEG 3 gr), dan P4(PEG 4 gr). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemberian Polyethylene glycol (PEG) berpengaruh nyata terhadap parameter tinggi planlet dan berpengaruh sangat nyata pada panjang akar tetapi tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap parameter umur berkecambah, jumlah daun, dan jumlah akar. Konsentrasi PEG yang efektif sebagai agen seleksi kekeringan tanaman pakcoy secara in vitro adalah perlakuan P4 pada parameter tinggi planlet dengan nilai rata-rata 2,40 cm, panjang akar dengan nilai rata-rata 0,63 cm, umur kecambah 3,33 hari, dan jumlah daun 2 helai.
