Abstrak
Penyakit kecacingan merupakan salah satu penyakit yang masih tersebar luas di Indonesia, kejadian ini di sebabkan oleh jenis cacing nematoda usus golongan Soil Transmitted Helminthyang di pengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor antara lain personal hygiene dan sanitasi lingkungan yang buruk. Tempat pembuangan akhir memiliki kondisi lingkungan lembab dan minim sehingga berisiko tinggi menyebabkan para pemulung mengalami infeksi kecacingan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeteksi telur cacing Soil Transmitted Helminthpada feses pemulung. Penelitian bersifat deskriptif sebanyak 20 sampel feses pemulung yang diperoleh dengan teknik purposive sampling dan dilakukan pemeriksaan di Laboratorium Infeksi Tropis DIII Teknologi Laboratorium Medis Universitas Megarezky. Metode pemeriksaan yang digunakan adalah metode (Flotasi). Hasil pemeriksaan didapatkan 14 sampel positif telur cacing yakni Ascaris lumbricoides, Trichuris trichiura, dan Hookworm. Pemulung diharapkan dapat memperhatikan dan meningkatkan personal hygienenya.
