Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan skrining jamur Trichophyton rubrum sebagai penyebab Tinea unguium pada kuku kaki petani sawah di Kecamatan Lau, Kabupaten Maros. Tinea unguium merupakan infeksi jamur pada kuku yang sering dialami oleh individu yang bekerja di lingkungan lembab dan kotor, seperti petani sawah. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pemeriksaan langsung menggunakan Kalium Hidroksida (KOH) 20% dan metode kultur pada media Sabouraud Dextrose Agar (SDA) dengan identifikasi mikroskopik menggunakan Lactophenol Cotton Blue (LPCB). Sampel yang diambil adalah kerokan kuku kaki dari 10 petani sawah yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Hasil pemeriksaan langsung menunjukkan 1 sampel positif (10%) mengandung hifa jamur, sedangkan hasil kultur menunjukkan 100% sampel positif dengan berbagai jenis jamur, termasuk Trichophyton rubrum pada 1 sampel (10%). Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa Trichophyton rubrum merupakan salah satu penyebab Tinea unguium pada petani sawah di Kecamatan Lau. Penelitian ini menggaris bawahi pentingnya menjaga kebersihan kuku dan lingkungan kerja untuk mencegah infeksi jamur. Disarankan agar petani meningkatkan personal hygiene dan penggunaan alat pelindung kaki selama bekerja.
